How can I talk with you?

Call or contact us on 0492 936 185 or email contact@puppyplanet.com.au,

How does payment work?

We require a deposit for a particular puppy of your choosing to be rehomed with you at 8 weeks of age. The remaining cost must be paid before the puppy is rehomed. You may pay through our website, in cash or by means of bank deposit. We also provide Afterpay payment options.

Have the puppies been vaccinated, wormed, vet checked and microchipped?

Yes all puppies will be vaccinated, microchipped, vet checked and wormed prior to rehoming. All care from the day of rehoming will be the responsibility of the new owner. If you have any concerns about treatments for your puppy it will be your responsibility to visit your local vet. We do our utmost to ensure the best health of our puppies.

What will be provided with my puppy?

Your puppy will come with a bed, blanket, bowls and toys that are new but similar or identical to what they have enjoyed growing up with. This will help them feel more comfortable in their new home (Please note these will not be provided if your puppy is transported with a transport company). Along with this you will be given a small grooming set. You will also receive a booklet with all the documents for ownership of your puppy, details on the origin of Collie Rough Dogs and information on dietary, training, medical and more.

Are the puppies pedigree papered?

These Puppies will not be pedigree papered. The purpose of pedigree is to achieve a certain look for showing. The focus on external appearance has led to serious health issues. I will link an RSPCA article on pedigreed dogs, upon reading this article you will know why we don't support the organizations that require pedigree selective breeding and use it as a marketing tool to view non pedigreed and especially non purebred dogs as inferior (When in reality the reverse is true in terms of health and genetics). Although our puppies are pure-bred Collie Rough and we love them and their look, we don't want to be affiliated with those organisations:
What is a pedigree dog? - RSPCA

Are these puppies purebred?

Yes. These are purebred Collie Rough. A genetic test when performed (With Orivet) on our puppies will vary between 97 to 100 percent, far above the typical standard of what constitutes a purebred dog.

Do you guarantee the health of the puppy?

We have done our part to ensure the health of each puppy by means of vaccinations, worming, microchipping, tick and flea prevention, a healthy diet and vet check. The parents are happy, healthy dogs with no issues. Just as with any animal, no absolute guarantee can be given. We do offer that if genetic health issues arise within the first year (Medical evidence to be given by vet proving the issue has arisen from genetic issues and was not preventable) we can refund the full cost excluding transport for return of the puppy (Return of puppy must be done prior to return of funds), we can replace the puppy as soon as another becomes available (We would require the return of the original puppy prior to this, the buyer would be required to pay for transport), or we will pay up to the price (But not exceeding the price and not including transport fees) of the puppy's original purchase price toward your necessary vet bills that come about by means of genetic issues, this must be proven by means of detailed documentation from your vet which will be confirmed by us prior to our sending reimbursement for your already paid invoice from your vet. These issues must be significant, quality of life or life altering issues, not things such as "this better diet will be good for your dog" this is not a medical expense even if purchased from and recommended by a vet. Accidental or negligence related issues will not in any way be covered. After 1 year no issues will be covered regardless of these issues arising before or after the 1st year of life. Choosing to keep your puppy after one year will mean you are no longer able to claim reimbursement for medical treatment of any kind including those that had occurred prior to the first year. Treatments are only considered necessary if they are required for the puppy to continue living or to not be experiencing pain from a condition which currently exists. If a treatment is recommended to be performed to prevent an issue later on in life, this is not covered. As with any dog, animal or even humans, we don't know what the future will bring. Puppy Planet does not cover your puppy's future treatments. This is all part of the responsibility in selecting, owning and caring for a dog from 8 weeks until end of life. Puppy Planet and its staff reserve the right to decide on a case-by-case basis how these rules are enforced. We will take reasonable measures to assist you up to the first year of life should you choose to keep a puppy which you have found to have a serious medical condition. We do love and care for our beautiful pups, we are not however, nor is any other breeder able to guarantee health.

What if I change my mind after I have received my puppy?

You will be provided with a 3 day cooling off period where a refund of 70 percent can be returned upon the return of the puppy to us, before this can be done the puppy must be inspected by a vet to insure the health and condition of the puppy is a good as when the puppy was rehomed.

Are you a registered breeder?

Yes we are. We are registered with RPBA under the Name Kathleena Dew of NSW (Member #1616)

How will I get my puppy?

You may either pick up your puppy from us (We will provide you with our address after a deposit has been made) or we will have your puppy delivered to you however this will be at your own expense. We have used a variety of transport methods from flights to road transport, to your door or to a centralized meeting point. We can arrange the transport of your puppy if you would like or you may do so yourself. Transport prices vary greatly based on location, fuel prices, etc.

When must full payment be made?

You must pay in full before the puppy is collected from us. If your puppy is being transported to you, you must pay the full amount a minimum of 1 week before the date of transport. The transport fee must be paid prior to booking transport.

What if I have paid for my deposit or paid in full but am unable to rehome the puppy at the moment?

In some rare cases a buyer may not be able to house the puppy at the time the puppy was to be rehomed. If the puppy is 3 months old (Assuming a deposit has been paid) and you still want your puppy, we will wait until the puppy is 4 months old for the full payment to be made. If the full payment is not made by then, the puppy will be rehomed with another buyer and your deposit will not be returned to you. If you have paid the full amount and the puppy is 4 months old or older yet you are still unable to house your puppy we will care for your puppy (At the cost of $90 each week) until the puppy reaches the age of 6 Months at which point you will be refunded the amount paid except for the deposit and the $90 per week paid to care for the puppy. The puppy will then be rehomed with another buyer. If we are unable to contact you for 2 months we will consider your ownership rights void and your puppy will be rehomed.
